This is obviously not your typical slogan for a web development company. Yes, we create websites and web applications. And we do a grand-spanking job at it. But as you might guess, we’re a bit different. . . .
We build businesses not websites!
XediaMedia is an early stage Venture Technology (VT) investor and partner. What does that mouthful mean? Instead of your typical services-for-hire web developer, we become partners in the web projects we build.
While most investors infuse capital in businesses, we infuse the technology that powers your business. Entrepreneurs win because they no longer need to worry over their mounting technology budgets. They can now spend their precious time and resources on other parts of their business. We win because we build killer products and services for our partners, and we profit from the revenues they create. It’s win-win for us and the entrepreneurs we work with.
How does it work?
No. We don’t work for free. (Just wanted to get that question out of the way.) There are some hard capital costs when working with us. How much? Each business and project we undertake is different, but here is how it works.
- We estimate the market rate for the project (what other companies with our skills would charge for the project.)
- We anticipate our hard costs in the project.
- We look at the potential income and expected growth of the business.
- We evaluate how quickly the business will turn a profit
- We work with you and agree on an equity or revenue sharing split.
- Given a thorough understanding of the above variables, we mutually agree on what investment we require from you to take on the project.
- Your upfront cost to build your project will be minuscule compared to hiring out the work. You don’t have to worry about runaway spending; but more importantly, you get an expert partner in web-based technologies that has a vested interest in your success.
- We are there for the life of the project, offering feature enhancements and support.
Why do we require some investment on your part? We are investing our time and resources, and we expect you to invest yours, too. We call this the “Law of Good Partnerships.”
Who do you work with?
We don’t work with everybody; we’ve even been accused of being “choose-y.” If the only reason you are considering a partnership with XediaMedia’s Venture Technology is to get your project done on the cheap, we probably aren’t a good fit.
We do work with entrepreneurs of all sizes– big, medium, small, even first-timers. Have a great idea involving Internet related technologies? Can your existing business expand and benefit from a new web application? Trying to manage a tight budget and need a killer technology partner? We might be the perfect ticket.
